ANNA Marks Successful Fall Meeting
More than 700 nurses attended the American Nephrology Nurses’ Association (ANNA) Fall Meeting for Nephrology Nurses, Managers, and Advanced Practice Nurses, October 9-11, 2010, in Las Vegas, NV.

The meeting, held at the Paris Las Vegas Hotel, drew practitioners from a wide variety of nephrology areas. In addition to attending sessions on topics that ranged from clinical to administrative, the attendees networked at special events, earned continuing nursing education contact hours, and met with vendors in a packed exhibit hall.

Conference highlights included an opening general session by nursing leader Connie Curran, EdD, RN, FAAN, who discussed the crucial importance of nurses getting to the “decision-making tables” to help steer health care’s future. Another popular and timely session on bundling of payment practices was presented by Gary Inglese, Director of U.S. Healthcare Reimbursement at Baxter Healthcare.

ANNA extends the benefit of attending the conference to attendees by offering free access to all recorded educational sessions (including live audio and slides) in ANNA's Online Library (www.annanurse.org/library). The sessions are also available to purchase for anyone unable to attend.

More information about ANNA’s conferences and events are available on the association’s Web site, www.annanurse.org.
