American Nephrology Nurses' Association Draws Record Numbers to Fall Meeting

PITMAN, NJ - Breaking a record for attendance and exhibitors, the American Nephrology Nurses' Association recently marked its most successful fall meeting to date.

Over 530 registrants attended education sessions, networked, and enjoyed special events at ANNA’s third annual Fall Meeting for Nephrology Nurse Managers, Advanced Practice Nurses, and Clinicians on October 16-18, 2004, in New Orleans.

Conference participants met with vendors in a packed exhibit hall and corporations provided extensive support of nephrology nursing by sponsoring a wide slate of educational programs and events. The conference also offered up to 26.2 contact hours of continuing education credit over 3 days.

"Our members have told us how important continuing education in nephrology nursing is to them," said ANNA President Lesley C. Dinwiddie, MSN, RN, FNP, CNN. "Their very positive  response to the quality and quantity of the programming at this conference demonstrates that ANNA is meeting that need, and that is very gratifying for us and our loyal corporate supporters."

The conference provided content for nurses practicing in all roles within nephrology. Sessions were presented by the nation’s top experts in advanced practice, management, and clinical practice.

For those who were unable to attend, ANNA offers a CD-ROM that features live recordings of educational sessions as well as the accompanying presentation materials. For more information or to order, contact Digitell, Inc., at 1-800-679-3646; Web site www.digitellinc.com.

In addition to the fall meeting, ANNA holds a national symposium each spring. The 36th National Symposium is scheduled for April 18-21, 2005, at the MGM Grand Hotel, Las Vegas, NV. The 2005 Fall Meeting will be held September 24-26, 2005, at the Hyatt Regency Crown Center in Kansas City, MO. More information about all ANNA events and programs is available at www.annanurse.org.
