ANNA Fact Sheets Now Available For Purchase
ANNA Fact Sheets with essential information regarding the care and treatment of patients with kidney disease are now available for purchase. The fact sheets cover such topics as chronic kidney disease, hemodialysis, peritoneal dialysis, transplantation, and pediatric end stage renal disease. High-quality color copies are available for purchase in ANNAs online store ($5 for a pack of 10). These useful resources for staff and patient education are also available for free download on ANNAs Web site.
New Resource Available to Help Implement ANNA's Standards of Practice
ANNA has developed a free, downloadable PowerPoint presentation for use as a supplement to the Nephrology Nursing Standards of Practice and Guidelines for Care. Designed to help users understand the need for standards and guidelines and facilitate their implementation, this presentation includes a case study outlining how the Guidelines can be incorporated into a facilitys policies and procedures. The free downloadable PowerPoint is available on ANNAs Web site.
Nephrology Nursing Journal Issue Highlights
The November/December 2006 issue of Nephrology Nursing Journal highlights such topics as quality of life in renal transplant patients, sexual dysfunction in patients on hemodialysis, and preventing and managing complications of peritoneal dialysis. National ESRD Education Week
August 6-10, 2007
ESRD Education Week is an ongoing campaign to educate state and federal lawmakers about end stage renal disease (ESRD), dialysis and the legislative issues facing the renal community. This award-winning initiative has helped to improve care for patients through key legislation. In 2006, ANNA members met with 88 Congressional leaders and/or their aides at facilities in 30 states.

National Nephrology Nurses Week
