Job Position and Professional Responsibilities
Clinical Manager of 9 hospital based acute dialysis programs for Fresenius Medical Care. Responsibilities include staffing, hiring/firing, education, budgeting, scheduling patients, knowledge of regulatory agencies federal and state, working with hospital executives on quality councils to provide update information and quality care to dialysis patients.
Current Northeast Regional Vice President (2011-2013), member of ANNA Board of Directors (2011-2013); Liaison to Advanced Practice Specialty Practice Network (SPN) and Administration SPN; Northeast Chapters Coordinator-Elect (CCE) / Chapters Coordinator (CC) for two terms (2007-2009 & 2009-2011); past president of two ANNA chapters (Keystone and Mass Bay); secretary and health policy representative for Keystone Chapter; chair and co-chair of Keystone Chapter’s annual day of learning for past 14 years; member of All Regional Executive Committee (AREC); presentation for Garden State Chapter 2010; presentation on QIP and bundling at ANNA National Symposium 2012; organized and moderated Volunteer Leaders Workshop president orientation 2008.
Role in ANNA projects/activities illustrating support of ANNA’s mission, goals, and objectives
Membership. Leader of newly formed Membership Task Force to identify reasons for decline in ANNA membership and develop strategies and implement a plan to increase ANNA membership
Professional Development. Chair of Keystone Chapter’s annual day of learning (7.75 CNE); presenter at ANNA National Symposium 2012 on QIP and bundling; have written articles for AREC newsletter and ANNA Update related to current nephrology nursing issues.
Business. Responsible for Northeast budget for 2011-2013 and being fiscally responsible for expenditures.
