CDC Releases Videos Promoting Safe Injection Practices

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) has created videos to promote safe injection practices through its One & Only Campaign in conjunction with the Safe Injection Practices Coalition. The One & Only Campaign urges health care providers to recognize the differences between single-dose vials and multi-dose vials and to understand appropriate uses of each container type. CMS Releases Proposed Rule to Update Quality Measures for ESRD PPS and Policies and Payment Rates for ESRD Providers for CY 2015

Support the Recognition of APRNs as Full Practice Providers in VA Facilities

ANNA is urging all members to express their support of the Veteran Health Administration’s proposal to recognize advanced practice registered nurses (APRNs) as full practice providers when providing care in a VA facility. Currently, the Department of Veterans Affairs is working to modernize the Veterans Health Administration’s Nursing Handbook and is recommending the acknowledgement of full practice authority for APRNs.
