This letter outlines the Nursing Community's request for support for increased funding in fiscal year (FY) 2012 for the Nursing Workforce Development programs authorized under Title VIII of the Public Health Service Act (42 U.S.C. 296 et seq.) and the National Institute of Nursing Research (NINR), as well as funding for Nurse-Managed Health Clinics (NMHCs) under Title III of the Public Health Service Act. Specifically, they request $313.075 million for the Nursing Workforce Development programs, $163 million for NINR, and $20 million for the Title III NMHC grants.
