Critical Responsibilities
Design, develop, and deliver training classes, workshops and self-study modules for sales and customer-interfacing clinical roles in the Renal Chronic area – working closely with Group Managers and VP, Commercial Training to ensure principles of adult education are applied.

  1. Conduct sales training needs assessments. Design and develop training sessions that increase sales force skills and knowledge, with a goal of positively impacting sales results.
  2. Deliver training sessions by facilitating the most appropriate format for training purpose (classroom, webinar, or teleconference).
  3. Work closely with marketing team members to assure a thorough understanding of products in the marketplace and to develop just-in- time training to support tactical implementation of marketing strategy.
  4. Design, develop and implement sales training materials and coordinate training logistics on key product launches, partnering with other product launch team members.
  5. Manage external vendors to bring high quality services within the set budget.
  6. Provide input to the Vice President of Commercial Training on the strategic vision as well as tactical improvements for the sales training department. Work with other sales training team members to achieve departmental goals and objectives.
  7. Understand professional development resources available to sales team members and support development that increases their contributions to the organization’s success.
  8. Apply principles of adult learning to ensure training effectiveness and access resources to keep up-to-date on industry best practices.

  • Ability to teach, coach and develop people in complex sales organization
  • Demonstrated ability to perform well in a matrixed environment.
  • Demonstrated understanding of the selling process - ability to comprehend and execute sales processes.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and complete those projects on time.
  • Demonstrated results orientation and high productivity through setting high standards and achieving stretch goals.
  • Can discern results based training vs. activity based training.
  • Bachelor’s degree + RN + 3 years’ experience required.  
  • Previous nurse educator or selling experience in healthcare industry a plus.
  • Clinical background in dialysis strongly preferred.
