The ANNA Board of Directors speaks out against racism, stating that the organization “stands in solidarity with our members and the patients for whom we provide care, whose health and well-being are threatened by long-standing inequality stemming from racism and injustice…. As nephrology nurses, we will continue to be steadfast in striving for fair and equal workplace environments, education, and professional development opportunities. As nurses, we will speak up and advocate for individuals entrusted to our care. ANNA is listening and together we will work to create systems that support advancement and equality for all, while recognizing there is further work to be accomplished by the association and in collaboration with our nursing and kidney community colleagues.”
