Voting FAQ

When is the election?

Voting opens November 3, 2025. Voting must be completed by November 17, 2025.

All full members as of November 3, 2025, are eligible to vote. All voting will occur online. No paper ballots will be sent. In order to vote, please make sure that you have a valid email address on file.

A full member is any registered nurse licensed in the United States and its territories, Canada, or Mexico interested in nephrology, transplantation and related therapies, and the care of patients with kidney disease. Dues must be current as of the date the ballots are sent.

You should receive your ballot during the day on November 3. If you don’t receive your emailed ballot at the same time as your co-workers and friends, do not be alarmed. The 3rd party election management provider we are using staggers the emails so that no organizations gets inundated with a lot of emails at one time.

If you haven’t received your ballot by November 4, please contact the ANNA National Office, 1-888-600-2662, [email protected].

During the opt-in period (dates coming soon!) full members will have a chance to opt in to vote by text message. On the opt-in form, you do not need to fill in your Membership ID, but it is preferred. To find your Membership ID, please log into your account and click on, “My Account.” Your Membership ID is displayed under, “My Profile.”

If you opted in for text notifications, you will receive a text when voting opens, from 877-561-6774 with a link to the ANNA election ballot as well as an email. Simply click the link within the text message, and you will automatically be logged in you in if you haven’t voted yet. Once you click the link within the ballot, you will be able to view the candidate information, etc. If you opted into text message voting, you will continue to receive email reminders after November 3 if you have not voted yet.

The email containing the link to vote and your unique log in codes will come from: ANNA Election Coordinator at [email protected]. Please add this email address to your address book and/or safe list as it decreases the chance of this email getting sent into your SPAM folder.

November 17, 2025, is the deadline for voting. Your ballot must be received by 11:59 pm PT. Late ballots will not be accepted.

What happens after I receive the email or text message to vote?

The email or text message will contain a direct link to the ballot. Just click on the link in your email or text message to start voting.

After you click on the link in your email or text message and are directed to a new page, click on the button that reads, “Go To Ballot.”  Make sure to read the instruction about how to place your vote at the top of the screen. When you are ready to continue, place a check mark next to your selection. Remember that your vote is not cast until you hit “Proceed to Ballot Confirmation” and then hit “Submit Ballot.”

Absolutely! A printable receipt with your voting choices will be emailed to you after you vote. You can print this receipt for your records.

Your vote is 100% secure and confidential. ANNA’s contract with the 3rd party election provider clearly states that no one at ANNA (leaders or staff) has access to any specific votes. All votes are anonymous. No one will ever know how you voted except you!

The results of the election will be announced on November 18, 2025. Watch the ANNA website for the results!
