Specialty Practice Networks

Welcome to SPN Central

Welcome to SPN Central

the home base for ANNA's Specialty Practice Networks (SPNs).

SPNs are a benefit of ANNA membership and provide you with opportunities to network with other nurses in the various nephrology subspecialties.

SPNs enable you to connect with colleagues with similar interests, discuss nursing issues and concerns, and collaborate to create solutions to today’s practice challenges.

Health Literacy Considerations

A patient’s health literacy level should be considered when providing patient education. The readability of some educational material may be at a higher level than the patient is able to understand. Below is a list of resources that may be useful when trying to determine a patient’s health literacy level.
