In the latest episode of the Nephrology Nursing Perspectives podcast series, ANNA Immediate Past President Lillian Pryor, MSN, RN, CNN, interviews ANNA member Teresa Villaran, MS, MSN, CNN, CCRN(alumnus), about how nurses can become advocates for their profession and patients. Teresa encourages nephrology nurses to use their collective voice to influence and advocate for policy and healthcare legislation at the local, state, and federal levels. She advises nurses: “Develop your story. Your story is more powerful than anything else you can tell a legislator. And make sure legislators know your name and that you are a nurse.”
