The Nephrology Nursing Foundation is proud to launch its inaugural funding initiative: the CATALYST Research & Quality Improvement Grant.
Through this new program, the Foundation will award one $40,000 grant to support a nurse-led research or quality improvement project that advances kidney health and improves patient care. Whether you’re exploring innovative models of care, evaluating quality improvement initiatives, or conducting research that addresses challenges in nephrology, the CATALYST Grant is designed to help turn promising ideas into meaningful impact.
Projects may focus on a variety of topics relevant to kidney health, including:
- Community-based kidney disease screening
- Advance care planning and kidney supportive care
- Chronic kidney disease (CKD) identification, management, and treatment
- Kidney transplant support, including pre- and post-transplant care and waitlist management
The grant is open to registered nurses practicing in nephrology or conducting research related to kidney disease. The primary principal investigator must be a registered nurse with a minimum of a master’s degree.
Applications are due Saturday, September 5, 2026, at 11:59 p.m. ET. The selected recipient will be notified by October 5, 2026, with the funded project beginning November 1, 2026.
