ANNA is pleased to announce Jacque Cady, D.ODC, APRN, FNP-C, CNN-NP, as the recipient of the 2026 DAISY Award for Nephrology Nurses Advancing Health Equity. Jacque was recognized for her exceptional clinical care, unwavering patient advocacy, and compassionate leadership.
Throughout her career, she has worked to remove barriers to care and ensure patients receive individualized, equitable care regardless of where they live, their financial circumstances, or the complexity of their medical needs. Her colleagues highlighted her innovative work supporting patients in rural communities, including bringing specialized expertise directly to local dialysis clinics through advanced vascular access care and telehealth.
She has also developed creative solutions for patients with complex medical needs, helping them avoid unnecessary hospital visits while maintaining their dignity and independence. Jacque’s advocacy extends beyond direct patient care. She helps patients overcome financial and access barriers, expands opportunities for home dialysis, and mentors nurses across multiple dialysis programs. One nominator described Jacque as having “the determination to help patients find the way to their individual best quality of life.”
Through her dedication to patients, families, and colleagues, Jacque exemplifies the impact nephrology nurses can have in advancing health equity.
Congratulations to Jacque on this well-deserved honor!
