In August 2021, ANNA was approved as a new member organization of the Nurses on Boards Coalition (NOBC). NOBC is a coalition of over 24 professional associations, including AARP, American Nurses Association (ANA), and specialty nursing associations, working to increase nurses’ presence on boards with strategic influence to improve the health of communities.

In 2020, ANNA convened a task force to update the information and resources developed by the 2012 ANNA Venous Needle Dislodgement Task Force. The 2020-2021 ANNA Venous Needle Dislodgement Task Force conducted a literature review, requested information from ANNA members, and tested taping techniques.
