| One Day Left: Be the Voice for Kidney Health! Registration for the 2026 ANNA Advocacy Forum Closes TomorrowThe 2026 Advocacy Forum will be held in Washington, DC, on June 8–9. This event gives each ANNA chapter the opportunity to send a representative to meet with lawmakers on Capitol Hill, and all chapters, as well as interested student nurses, are encouraged to participate. Take Action!ANNA is asking every Chapter to send their Health Policy Representative to the Advocacy Forum. If the current Health Policy Representative is not available to attend, the Chapter is encouraged to extend the invitation to another officer or member instead. The goal is to have one member from every ANNA chapter trained to not only share key information, but also to encourage engagement among other Chapter members. This effort is a first step to developing a “boots on the ground, grassroots nurse advocates” to support future advocacy efforts and be prepared to respond to ANNA calls for action. This unique event includes one day of educational sessions and one day on Capitol Hill, where participants will join nephrology nurses from across the country to advocate for policies that advance kidney health and support the nursing profession.Hotel accommodations and most meals are included. Chapters are encouraged to assist with airfare when possible. If two members want to attend and share a hotel room, both are welcome.Don’t miss this chance to develop your advocacy skills, network with leaders in nephrology nursing, and contribute to meaningful change.Registration closes tomorrow, March 13, and participants must be identified early to allow time to schedule meetings with state legislators. If you have not yet considered attending, we encourage you to do so now.If you have questions, please contact [email protected]. We look forward to seeing strong ANNA chapter representation in Washington.Registration for Chapter Representatives |

| ANNA 2027 National Symposium Call for Abstracts: Podium and Poster PresentationsUpdates to Our Conference Submission ProcessWe’re pleased to share an important improvement to the way members submit their work for our Annual Conference. After thoughtful review and discussion, the Conferences Committee has voted to combine the poster and podium (in-person or on-demand) application process into one streamlined abstract submission. This shift brings us in line with the approach used by most academic and professional organizations, where a single abstract is submitted and then reviewed for the presentation format that best fits the content. Instead of completing two separate forms, you will now submit just one abstract. Our reviewers will evaluate each submission based on scientific merit, clarity, innovation, and clinical relevance. We believe this change will make the process easier and more intuitive for contributors, help eliminate duplicative steps, and ensure a more consistent review experience across all submissions. It also allows the conference committee greater flexibility to build a strong, balanced educational program that highlights the excellent work of our members. We’re excited to introduce this updated process for the 2027 Symposium and hope it encourages even more of you to share your research, quality improvement projects, and clinical insights. Thank you for your continued engagement, and we look forward to seeing your abstracts! The ANNA Conferences Committee invites individuals, regardless of clinical or corporate affiliation, to share their expertise, research, and clinically based findings by submitting an abstract.Abstracts are being accepted until June 8, 2026.Submit an Abstract |
