The American Nephrology Nurses Association (ANNA) is proud to launch the ASCEND Leadership Academy, a structured 12-month experience designed to prepare, engage, and empower emerging nephrology nurse leaders.
The inaugural, fully virtual cohort will be limited to 8 competitively selected participants, each paired with an experienced nephrology nurse mentor. Through mentorship, leadership education, coaching, networking, and experiential learning, participants will strengthen their leadership skills and develop a meaningful capstone project addressing an opportunity or challenge within nephrology nursing.
The ASCEND experience will culminate at the 2027 ANNA Nephrology Nursing Summit, where participants will present their projects and celebrate their graduation.
Applications for both candidates and mentors opened September 17 and close October 31, 2026.
ASCEND Leadership Academy is funded by the Nephrology Nursing Foundation and delivered through ANNA.
