Now Recruiting: Leadership Development Committee Members Are you passionate about advancing the nephrology nursing profession and shaping the next generation of leaders? The American Nephrology Nursing Association (ANNA) is seeking dynamic and dedicated members to serve on our Leadership Development Committee. 

What You’ll Do:
As a Leadership Development Committee member, you will:
– Identify and mentor emerging leaders within the nephrology nursing community
– Support leadership succession planning and development initiatives
– Assist in creating tools and programs to foster leadership skills across all levels of membership
– Collaborate with association leadership to ensure alignment with ANNA’s mission and goals

Ideal Candidates:
We’re looking for nephrology nursing professionals who:
– Have a passion for leadership and professional development
– Bring a collaborative mindset and a commitment to diversity and inclusion
-Are members in good standing with the ANNA
– Have prior leadership experience in clinical, academic, or association settings (preferred, not required)

Time Commitment:
– Attend virtual committee meetings (monthly or as scheduled)
– Participate in project work between meetings (approx. 2–4 hours/month)
– Serve a [1–2] year term with potential for renewal

ASN Journal Club: Core Interventions for the Prevention of Peritoneal Dialysis-Related Infections

Know a Nurse Advancing Health Equity? Nominate Them Today

ANNA is excited to announce the launch of the DAISY Award for Nephrology Nurses Advancing Health Equity. This new award recognizes exceptional nephrology nurses who go above and beyond to deliver compassionate care and address health disparities among vulnerable populations.

The Daisy Award for Nephrology Nurses Advancing Health Equity honors nurses who demonstrate a commitment to Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI), Health Equity, Social Determinants of Health, and Compassionate Care.

Nominations will be judged based on the following criteria:
– Commitment to DEI
– Addressing Health Disparities
– Social Determinants of Health
– Compassionate Care
– Impact

Nomination Process
Nominations for the DAISY Award for Nephrology Nurses Advancing Health Equity will close on July 6. Candidates do not need to be a current member of ANNA. The ANNA Board of Directors will review nominations and select the winner by July 23. The winner will be announced at ANNA’s Nephrology Nursing Summit September 17-20 in Scottsdale, AZ.

Over $112,000 in awards, scholarships, and grants are available to ANNA members and chapters this year. Recognize a colleague for excellence in patient care, clinical practice, education, management, research, or volunteer leadership by nominating them for an Outstanding Achievement Award. Apply for a scholarship to pursue higher education or a grant to fund a clinical practice project that will benefit staff, patients, and/or families. Nominations will open Monday, June 15, 2026.

Nightingale Tribute: Celebrating the Legacy of Nephrology Nurses

This invitation is extended to all ANNA members, encouraging them to contribute their cherished memories of a departed fellow ANNA member. These individuals’ names will be honored in a commemorative book titled “The Nightingale Tribute for Nephrology Nurses.”This heartfelt tradition commenced at the April 2024 National Symposium in Orlando and will be upheld at subsequent National Symposia.
