Kidney Disease: Improving Global Outcomes (KDIGO) has released the 2020 Clinical Practice Guideline on the Evaluation and Management of Candidates for Kidney Transplantation. The guideline examines current evidence on the risks of transplantation associated with specific conditions and provides recommendations for clinicians to address specific risk factors in isolation in order to minimize risks and maximize the chances of a successful outcome for transplant recipients. Pediatric and adult transplantation as well as transplants from both living and deceased donors are covered.
