Teresa encourages nephrology nurses to use their collective voice to influence and advocate for policy and healthcare legislation at the local, state, and federal levels. She advises nurses: “Develop your story. Your story is more powerful than anything else you can tell a legislator. And make sure legislators know your name and that you are a nurse.”
