September Is National Preparedness Month

September is National Preparedness Month. Each September since 2004, the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) has observed National Preparedness Month. FEMA and various local, state, and federal agencies emphasize the importance of promoting family and community disaster and emergency planning during this month and throughout the year. The theme for National Preparedness Month 2019 is Prepared, Not Scared.
