The Centers for Dialysis Care (CDC) is a non-profit free standing dialysis company founded in 1973 by a group of community business leaders and physicians. The goal was to offer high quality dialysis in an outpatient setting.  The Mission was later expanded to include patient centered quality care to all individuals with kidney disease.

Located in northern Ohio, CDC operates incenter hemodialysis units, home therapy programs, staff assisted dialysis programs and is actively participating in the ESRD Seamless Care Organization (ESCO), which is the first disease specific accountable care organization.

CDC employs about 600 staff members.  Approximately 50% of the staff have been at CDC for 10 years or greater. The staffs operate under the CARES Values: Customer Service, Accountability, Relationships, Excellence, and Safety.  All staff is eligible for competitive salaries and tuition reimbursement.

CDC believes that the patient is at the center of the care delivery model.  That patient is surrounded by the  guiding principles of Excellent Quality, Safety and Service, Employee Engagement, Strategic Growth, Financial Stewardship, and Physician Collaboration.
