September is National Preparedness Month. Each September, the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) observes National Preparedness Month. FEMA and various local, state, and federal agencies emphasize the importance of promoting family and community disaster and emergency planning during this month and throughout the year. The theme for National Preparedness Month 2021 is Prepare to Protect. Preparing for disasters is protecting everyone you love. Each week in September, the campaign will focus on a different aspect of preparedness for individuals, families, and communities.
