New to Nephrology Practice Award

Purpose
Recognize outstanding excellence displayed by an ANNA member who is new to nephrology nursing practice.
Award
Complimentary registration to a future National Symposium within 2 years of receiving the award (value $500) and reimbursement of expenses for travel, hotel, and per diem following the National Symposium, up to $1,500.
Eligibility Criteria
- Candidates for the award will be nominated.
- The nominee can either be nominated by someone else or self-nominated.
- Be a current full member of ANNA, in good standing, for a period of more than 1 year but less than 5 years in nephrology nursing. The time-period is based on the yearly published Awards & Scholarship deadline.
- Level of education: BSN or higher
- Application for the New to Practice Nephrology Practice nominee to include four essays questions (less than 250-word limit per question):
- What are one or more accomplishments thus far in your nephrology nursing career? Please explain.
- What have you done that would exemplify outstanding care for patient(s) with kidney disease? Please provide example(s).
- How have you or how would you help advance nephrology nursing through technology, innovation, evidence-based practice, clinical, safety, or education initiatives?
- What involvement have you had with your local ANNA chapter and/or ANNA nationally?
Winner's Obligation
- Duties at the National Symposium, as assigned by the ANNA Board of Directors and/or National Office
- Write an ANNA article about your experience at the National Symposium
